This occurs as a last resort should the tooth be badly broken down and beyond reasonable repair, or if the support from the jaw bone is compromised. We will always treat every procedure with the utmost respect so that the experience is as painless as possible with the minimum of fuss. With all anaesthetics, we will use a topical aesthetic gel beforehand so that minimal discomfort is felt with the injection. This is standard procedure for all injections.
